Proposed McGinnis
Ferry Interchange
Overview
Start Date: January 2007
Total CID Investment: $300,000
Details
In 2007, the North Fulton CID helped fund an Interchange Justification Report (IJR) to determine if adding an interchange off GA 400 on to McGinnis Ferry Road was justified. The IJR determined an interchange was feasible.
The North Fulton CID partnered with Forsyth County to fund the local match for preliminary engineering efforts of the proposed interchange. Final design is underway and construction funding has been identified through GDOT. Currently, Right of Way acquisition is underway with an estimated May 2018 let date for construction.
Financial Commitment
The North Fulton CID contributed $100,000 toward the Interchange Justification Report (IJR) and $200,000 toward design.
