CID AND CITY OF ALPHARETTA AWARDED $4 MILLION LCI CONSTRUCTION GRANT

The board of the North Fulton Community Improvement District (CID) learned this morning that its Encore Parkway streetscape and bike lane project has been awarded a $4 million grant from the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) program. The project will connect the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre on the west side of Ga. 400 with the Big Creek Greenway trail system on the east side. The LCI grant, which is for streetscape work and bicycle enhancements leading up to the Encore Parkway bridge over Ga. 400, covers nearly half the cost of the estimated $9 million bridge replacement and roadway improvement project.
