ALPHARETTA, Ga. (May 29, 2012) –The North Fulton Community Improvement District (CID) announces the promotion of board member Moses Brown to vice chairman.

A retired executive with Reed Elsevier and Alpharetta resident, Brown replaces CID founding member Paul Folger of MetLife Real Estate Investments. Folger was elected vice chairman in 2008, providing members with expertise in the areas of real estate development and investment.

As vice president within the global procurement organization at Reed Elsevier Inc., Brown was responsible for leading and managing the company’s supplier diversity program. He brings more than 35 years of technology, management and operations experience to the North Fulton CID board leadership. His close ties to civic and educational organizations include inRoads, Grady Hospital Foundation and the Rainbow Push Coalition, for which he was named the 2009 recipient of the Keep Hope Alive Equal Opportunity Award.

“I am humbled by the appointment to vice chairman of the North Fulton CID board,” said Brown. “It is my goal to continue on the path of success that has been developed and work diligently to bring about change and positivity to the North Fulton district.”

Brown, a graduate of Morehouse College and Leadership Atlanta, serves on the board of directors of Excel Federal Credit Union, the Greater Women’s Business Council and the Windward Business Association. In addition, he serves on the board of advisors of the Metro Atlanta Chamber, Center for Puppetry Arts and the Alpharetta Public Safety Foundation.

“We are excited to have Moses as vice chairman of our board,” said CID Chief Operating Officer Ann Hanlon. “His level of expertise and ability to effectively lead will ensure continued success for the North Fulton CID.”
