Kristin Rome Presents North Fulton CID Success Story At International Conference in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS – Under the shimmering lights of Las Vegas last month, Kristin Rome put a spotlight on North Fulton and its public and private leaders. Ms. Rome joined a group of 200 public administration researchers and professionals from around the world at a conference, where she spoke about the collaborative efforts of the North Fulton Community Improvement District.
Ms. Rome was invited as a guest speaker at the Fall 2012 International Academy of Business and Public Administration Disciplines (IABPAD) Conference in Las Vegas. During her presentation, Ms. Rome highlighted the recent successes of the CID, explaining how property owners and businesses have played an impactful role in infrastructure improvements within North Fulton. The importance of public-private partnerships, such as those cultivated by the CID, is of special interest to the IABPAD: founded in 2004, the organization promotes academic research in the fields of business and public administration, with a special focus on education and collaboration between the public and private sectors.
“Being invited to speak in front of an international audience is quite an honor,” said North Fulton CID Chief Operating Officer Ann Hanlon. “We’re very proud of Kristin and so glad she is on our team.”
While Ms. Rome has worked at the North Fulton CID as a project assistant for less than a year, she is no stranger to CIDs. Her graduate thesis at Kennesaw State University was focused on Georgia’s community improvement districts. Currently, Ms. Rome also serves on the North Fulton Alliance of Young Professionals Board of Directors.
