North Fulton CID’s Encore Parkway Bridge Placed Top 10 in Engineering Georgia Magazine’s Inaugural Photo Contest

June 8, 2018

Engineering Georgia Magazine named the North Fulton CID’s Encore Parkway Bridge project as a Top 10 finalist for its inaugural “Oh Snap” photo contest. The winners were chosen by an editorial board on aspects of uniqueness, clarity, audience appeal and industry representation. Photographed by Marsha Swider with Kimley-Horn, the Encore Parkway Bridge overlooks Georgia 400 and was built to match the aesthetic of its surrounding areas.

“We are so excited to receive this honor from Engineering Georgia Magazine,” said Brandon Beach, North Fulton CID Executive Director. “The Encore Parkway Bridge was a landmark project for the CID, and we look forward to the North Fulton community seeing the benefits for years to come.”

The project was completed in August 2017 to make the area more walkable and appealing, while alleviating transportation and traffic issues. The project included enhancing the previously existing parkway, widening the road and adding bicycle lanes, sidewalks, a raised median, pedestrian lighting as well as trees and seasonal plantings.
