Details

This project added a right-turn lane along Windward Parkway, from the northbound Georgia 400, and a continuous right turn lane to North Point Parkway. Prior to this improvement, northbound congestion at the Windward Parkway and Georgia 400 interchange was notorious, and with more than 168,000 cars passing through the interchange each day. The additional turn lane reduced stacking on the GA 400 offramp and improved traffic operations along GA 400 and Windward Parkway. A third left turn lane will soon be constructed as a second phase of this project.

Financial Commitment

The North Fulton CID funded $500,000 to this project.
